2005 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Results

(Picture 1) Some of the many entries at
the 2005 Windsor-West Hants Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off, which took place in Windsor,Nova Scotia, October 1st.

(Picture 2) The 2005 winners: 3rd, 1st and 2nd place.

(Picture 3) The 1st place entry, again this year, came from New Brunswick. This giant pumpkin was grown by Daryl Tingley of Fredericton, and weighed in at 1247 lbs
(566 kgs).

(Picture 4) Lisa Wentzell of Bridgewater,Nova Scotia, in 3rd place last year, made it to 2nd place this year with her a 1190 lbs(534 kgs) giant pumpkin.

(Picture 5) The 3rd place winner is this giant pumpkin grown by Edmund Hemphill and Joan Kent of Mountpleasant, New Brunswick. Their entry weighed 1171 lbs (531 kgs).

A new world record was set again this year, with a 1469.0 lbs (666.5 kgs) entry, grown by Larry Checkon of North Cambria, PA.
